Hurkins Orbit LED Headlamp Review

"Happiness is equilibrium. Shift your weight. Equilibrium is pragmatic. You have to get everything into proportion. You compensate, rebalance yourself so that you maintain your angle to the world. When the world shifts, you shift. – Tom Stoppard"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very nice work lighting.
Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2019 by Ellis Andersen

"I do HVAC work, needing to move around several different dark places generally. I used to put on inexpensive head lamps occasionally - I use this one almost every day. It is comfortable, bright and gives a full lit working area view. I find I do not need full brightness very often, extending battery life - I get several work days of periodic use on a charge. I really like the full view lighting - I will occasionally get out my belt holster flashlight for spot assessment/work. Very glad I spent the extra money to get a quality piece of equipment."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hurkins Orbit 180deg Head Mounted Lamp

"I nearly blinded myself when turning these on. Well made, simple to operate. Different levels of bright intensity. You can easily blind people (like me) or animals (especially those with teeth). Took on a trip to Portland OR & went walking on dimly lit streets. I really lit up the area near Pioneer Square at night. You know how it RAINS in Portland? Had this on & it wasn’t damaged. RECOMMEND: Buy. Great for camping."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gotta get the Olympic quality headlamp!
Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2018 by C'ville

"I actually saw this product not knowing what it was in the 2018 Winter Olympics opening ceremony (first 3 Olympic pics are from my TV)- the show was very impressive as bunch of skiers/snowboarders ran down the dark slopes with just headlamps/lighting vests preceding the great LED show in the sky. Those Stormtrooper lookalikes looked very cool and I assumed it’s quality to be proven (at least Olympic ceremony quality) so I started my search. After a long search, I was thrilled to see it on Amazon! Sure, it’s a lot more expensive than those regular headlamps and I actually hesitated. But I am glad I got it, and because I love this headlamp, I'll tell you why it’s worth the price. 1. It’s incredibly bright!!!! –I didn’t know 1,000 Lumen could be this bright, but it really is bright. (Those cheaper ones had lower Lumen) It’s brighter than any of my flashlights. Nonetheless I don’t feel the heat on my forehead which I was somewhat afraid of. The photo I added is my windowless bathroom taken while dialing up the dimmer switch. You can see the light’s reflection on the wall as well. 2. Coverage – Instead of 1 big spot light, it’s got 14 LED bulbs which covers expansive amount of area. I like how well lit my “surroundings” become with this headlamp. 3. Power – It says single charge last 100 hrs if set on lower brightness. I’ll probably use it at maximum brightness most of time, but then again I won’t leave it on for 3 straight days. 4. Charge – Built in battery charged easily with regular mobile/USB charger. No need to replace/remove batteries!!! Yes!! 5. Multipurpose – I love wearing this for working in the garage which never has enough light or walking the dog out at night. It hasn’t happened yet, but I am sure it will come handy when the power goes out or when I go camping/tailgating BBQs  6. Fits the most – Strap is adjustable, and it was snuggle-fit for me when it came in. It fits my husband well too so we’ll take turn wearing the lamp while walking the dog at night. Would I recommend it to others? Definitely!!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW!

"Great light! Even better battery life. I have been using this light at the very least 3 times a day for, 20 min+ each time and I am still on the original charge after a month of use!! I can tell the battery is getting close to needing to be charged as it is not as bright on the highest setting now but it is still an amazing light. Went to my boss and recommending these get bought for all our field techs that are in dark places a lot. The only downside or complaint I have it I wish it would adjust just a tiny bit more to accommodate a slightly larger head. I run into this issue with a lot of products because I have a large head. It does fit however just slightly tighter than I would like. This is not any type of deal breaker though as the products performance out weighs the slight tightness. The price is a tad high on first glance but is worth every penny in my opinion and feel that for those that do a lot of work in dark places on a regular basis would agree. Highly recommended product."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great tool for the job!
Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2018 by Mosler Enterprise L.L.C.

"Working construction a head lamp is one of my most used tools which is why i stay to the sturdy rock climbing brands, petzl/black diamond,.. etc.. I ordered this not to replace my main lamp for i am very skeptical of any off brand lamps holding up to my work environments. With that said, so far so good. the lights are very bright and the l.e.d. strip seems to be strongly encased which hopefully translates to durability and a long life. I typically go through a head lamp (good ones) every two years so we will see. The forehead spot where the band lyes gets hot if you have the light cranked up for a long period of time. Aside from that, over all the product feels good one the head, handles movement, very bright, battery life is a couple days before recharge, variable output is nice. feels like it will last."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Durable!
Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2019 by Matthew Barrett

"My favorite head lamp! The charging port is separate, so you don't need to unplug the wire to the lamp just to charge the battery (saves on wear); I had a similar one and the port was the same so the micro-USB became too loose over time causing intermittent issues. This one solved the problem by making two ports. One for charging and leave the other plugged in for powering the LED strip. Durable little sucker. I accidentally dropped it from 20ft and it hit pavement, but still running strong. My only con I found is the wheel brightness adjuster to be a design flaw. I lost that quickly since it's a simple dowl and socket concept. But even without the wheel I can still dial in my desired brightness since the dowl is attached to the battery end. This light lasts for about 3 hrs on continuous high bright. Some nights if I conserve my use it'll last all night one a single charge. Should anything ever happen to this headlamp I would not hesitate to purchase again."

Best Wide Angle LED headlamp

This is a high quality, durable headlight with exceptional runtime. The dot matrix is very clean and bright. The electromagnetic field break up is very good as is the LED's performance. The battery life is limited but not by the amount of light this thing puts out. It does easily last 2 days on a charge rotation max. This is the most amazing light I have ever found. Put it on like a headband, fire it up, and admire how it lights up wherever you are. You can walk into a dark room and this light throws so much light, in a wide V, you don't need to turn the room lights on. Essentially, you're walking around with a 180 degree, blinding bright light on your head. The widespread of the light allows you to see everything without turning your head. You’ll never put the old spotlight type light on your forehead again. I live in a place that has no street lighting and lots wild critters running around.

The Hurkins Orbit has a 180 degrees wide angle beam that rises and sets independently of your weight. This is great for running or working. It's not so great for cycling or walking. The power button is on the back of the unit rather than on the back of the beam. To turn it on or off use the small dial at the back of the unit. This light is amazing! I use it for work, and it fits perfectly on a Bullard full brim hard hat. So when I walk my dog at night it stays in place and I don't have to move my head around to get the light out. It's very bright also, perfect for walking with. The only issue with wearing this on your head is it will rub off if you don't take care of it.

Highest LED headlight quality

The Hurkins LED headlight is one of the highest quality headlights on the market, and that is exactly what makes it worth your time and effort. If your going to invest in something, at least get yourself some kind of lumens benefit number to go with it. I use this for work and it really lights up the surrounding enough to allow me to see everything around me. This light is amazing! I use it for running at night and it fits perfectly on my cramp helmet. Seldom have I worn a cramp helmet and I have worn them many, many times. The only downside is that if it were to come off during use it would be very painful and difficult to get back on. This doesn't really happen too often and even though it does it is still a nice feature to have. This light is amazing! If you keep it charged it will do wonders for your eyes. If you don't keep it charged it will run off battery quickly.

Water proof and shock resistant make this a must-have for adventurers and weekday warriors alike. "Be prepared to change your mind about a lot of things." - Brad R. "This is the best headlamp I have owned. It is very bright, very comfortable, and super bright. I have used it for years and it hasnt wavered one bit. It is very worth the money and I would recommend it to everyone who's looking for a good quality piece of equipment." "I would highly recommend this product! I work construction and people are constantly asking where I got my headlamp. This one solves the problem and makes it even better! The light is extremely bright and the quality is very good. The knob and LED light are very nice. The strap works on my full brim hard hat but seems like it would be a short term fix but long term it really does help. "Love how it surrounds you with light. Only thing I don't like is where the light shines.

A LED headlamp for hiking

The long runtime, comfortable headband and the wide and bright illumination make this headlight optimal for hiking. Use the circular stock to turn the light on and off. I find the bright LED strip to be too focused on one single spot. The amount of light is great, the battery life is limited but it does the job great. I use headlamps a lot, and with most I hate that they basically have a flashlight like beam, they need a wide angle that covers the full area of your vision, this comes very close to doing that and I've not seen anything on the market that's better. The light output is great, I rarely have it turned all the way up, in fact I wish it would dim a bit more. The light is biased rather high, while the light is wide side to side the light is pulled in one area which can be distracting. I'm betting it's related to the sandwich design but I can't vouch for that. I like the light.
