"I purchased this headband for a few jobs as my existing one (different brand) broke. As typical of Amazon, this arrived in a fairly timely manner. Here is what I found with this product... PRO 1-Affordable. There are other headbands out there that costs a lot, but this one is easy on the wallet and gets the job done. 2-Comfortable. Surprisingly the band is comfortable. It is easily adjustable to fit my big knoggin and my wife's. 3-Three different modes of operation - bright, low - off. 4-Unique battery pack holder. The headband takes 3 triple A batteries that are placed in a plastic battery pack. The whole unit has another black band that you can place the battery pack in, keeping the batteries in place while it is on your head. 5-Wide dispersal. This head band does not shoot a directed beam, but rather illuminates a larger area for a wider viewing angle. 6-Bright. On the highest setting, it is very bright. CON 1-Does not come with batteries"
"I got this in the other day. I had to go up in the attic to do some electrical work. This is so much better than carrying a work light plugged in with an extension cord. It’s light exactly where I need it to see what I’m doing. I’m really looking forward to taking this camping. I’ll actually be able to see where I’m going. Instead of a little spotlight, this light lights up the whole area. What a great idea!"
"Overall: This is one of the brightest headlamps that I have ever used. The wide beam allows you to view anything without having to constantly move your head. It also works well when you are working with others and want a wide light supply. It's perfect for when we are working on the boat after dark. This is a great deal and I don't think I'll be able to go back to regular headlamps after trying the broadbeam. Pros: -Bright Light -Wide Light Projection -Comfortable enough to wear for an extended period if properly adjusted -Battery Life. I haven't had to replace the batteries yet and I have been using it on high and low for about a week. I am using Amazon Basics rechargeable AAA batteries. Cons: -The battery pack is a bit heavy once I put in the required batteries. You have to make sure that headlamp is tightened properly. -When I did adjust the headlamp, the battery pack was in a weird position and caused a weird amount of slack in the battery cord. I ended up flipping over the strap so that it lined up better (you can see this in the pictures). Overall this was a bit annoying but it fits great now and so doesn't detract from the everyday function of the device. Like I said above, overall this a great light that can't be beat at this price. Take the time to adjust it to your head and you will love this light."
"Having received the headlamp just in time for my trip to Colorado, I took it for use during a night hike at Rocky Mountain National Park. There was definitely no problem seeing everything in front of me for several meters and it was so bright my wife would get mad every time I accidentally turned towards her. Other typical headlamps would have a very bright, small spot in the middle and would be dimmer outside of that. But the OVLED headlamp allowed me to see practically everything within my field of vision, which to me is more natural and easier for my eyes. No need to turn my head just to light something up. And the band was very comfortable for me. Will certainly take this with me on my next hiking trip in the outdoors!"
"I just got this and didn't really know what to expect. I'm a 'be prepared' kind of guy and wanted another headlamp that lit a wider area, but wow - this is not like any headlamp I own. This lights the whole room with an even glow - no beam and not even hot spots. Pretty cool. I didn't expect that, but I like it a lot. If I was searching for something during a power outage, this would be the automatic go-to wearable lighting choice. I'd be able to see the whole room/area. I'm sure I could think of many other applications - I just didn't expect the way it lights up the whole area so evenly. Very cool thing to have especially for the price."
"Just received my light today. I am very pleased with the light output and quality of materials. My wife wants to use it for jewelry making, but I see many other purposes around the house here in Florida. Now I can have broad illumination if I need to Go outside at night, keeping the critters away A great value!"
A great all-in-one LED option on a budget, or a full-size headlamp to light up a larger area that wouldn't be lit with a traditional headlamp. Looks pretty good so far, mediocre on the battery life front. If memory serves I keep having trouble keeping the proper batteries in my car (where as with a conventional headlamp I can just add more light). Still very bright though, hardly a spot light. This headband has been the perfect addition to my growing collection of head gear, as the light is very bright and I don't have to have my head positioned in exactly the right position to view what I am working on. The battery life rating is just a guess since I haven't had it long enough to really know, but it's been a while since a head band was this nice.
The OVLED Broadbeam has a 210 degrees wide beam which lights up the entire area in front of you. It has a flip up battery compartment which is waterproof and takes 3 AAA batteries (not included). It has a wide LED strip which means it will work on almost any ceiling or any hard-to-reach-place. It also has a button front white lead strip which means it will not sting you if you attempt to hide something in the dark. Overall it is a very good headlight and I would get it again for sure. This is an amazing headband that draws patients and/or visitors in the nighttime spirit. The design of this item is absolutely wonderful. The battery pack is a little bulky, but the light is bright and easy to work with. The on/off switch is on the battery pack itself, and is on the elastic sleeve which is attached to the headband, not wrapped around the headband. This means that the switch is not as slim as previously thought, and it is still able to support the full weight of the headband.
The OVLED headband fits really snug around your head, sometimes you even forget you are wearing it. The light is not uber-duper bright, but it is a good average light. It is a little bulky, but its not impossible to wear with a baseball cap (my dumbfounded choice of gear). And its not like you are wearing a headband with a flashlight, that is waterproof and comes with a rechargeable battery. This thing takes four AAA batteries (not included), a lightning cable, and a bit of ingenuity. Make sure you get the OVLED Headband with the Lightning Adapter and Lightning Cable. You will not be disappointed. Ok the on/off switch is a little tiny bit weird on the switch, but overall this is a solid B+ if you are looking for a good basic headlamp. It is light and easy to use this headband is super bright. We got it for Christmas and now everyone we know uses it all the time! Bought this for a friend for Christmas.
You will get a powerful light strip with the OVLED 20 high-efficiency LED bulbs. This is the easiest way to light up a large area. The battery pack is a little bulky for some, but gives ample light for any project. The raised band is elastic and adjustable; the battery band is metal. The raised band is much more comfortable than the narrow band and stays in place. The battery pack has a large rechargeable battery that can be reused many times. The headband's electrical connections are not as robust as those of a single led bulb. Replacement batteries are recommended. The OVLED is an advanced light technology that has the potential to revolutionize lighting and providing better vision in outer space. OVLED began as a side business opportunity to use an existing office lighting system that didn't have the performance or flexibility to provide a broad range of light. Using existing lighting systems, I had limited ability to control the beam and, for short distances, unable to adjust the battery pack's elasticity.
This wide angle LED headlamp is one of the easiest to operate even if wearing gloves. The headband is attached to the headlamp using a small elastic sleeve and no tools are needed. Cardioid fasteners are stitched into the elastic band and need to be trimmed to fit the brim. The headlamp is powered by a AAA battery pack and has a USB 3.0 Type A/B connector. Manual winding is accomplished by twisting the battery pack around in a semi-circle around the head in front of you, following the outline of the outline on the battery case. The figure eight pattern on the battery box provides a comfortable fit and the grey silicone band is comfortable to wear. If you are not familiar with this style of headlamp you may find it helpful to have a reference. I got these as a gift as stocking stuffers for Christmas. I took them out and put them in my cart to be picked up. My only change is I now wear a headband instead of a bulky forehead protector.
